Well it has finally arrived…..the first winter storm. Light snow started falling at 6:00 p.m. It is now 8:35 p.m. and we have less than an inch on the ground. The radar is showing a break coming and then rain. That is not a good thing. Rain turns to ice, and ice is not fun to drive on! Times like these call for the ultimate comfort food…Guinness Burgers!!

Okay I am not going to claim this burger is healthy in any way, because it is not by any stretch of the imagination…but boy is it good!

How to make Guinness Burgers:

Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season with sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

Fry patties in a large skillet until no longer pink.

Pour the Guinness glaze over burger patties.

Place a slice of cheese on top of patty, and allow it to melt.

Place cheese burger on a grilled hamburger bun.

Top with bacon, onion rings, and more glaze (if desired). Add lettuce and tomato if you must. 😉

Notes:

  • I have not included the recipe for my Guinness Glaze within this recipe because it makes more glaze than you need for one recipe. It is also better if it is made ahead of time and allow to cool/thicken before serving.
  • There is no Guinness Glaze in the nutrition facts data base, go figure. The information below is based on Guinness alone.
