That is awesome Karen, I am so glad you like them! I agree, ghee has a much stronger taste.

Thank you so much for this, Lisa! I love poached eggs and was looking for an easier way to make them. This simple and quick technique worked perfectly for me on the first try. I used ramekins that I already had (I could fit 3 in my pot), used ghee, and they slid right out. Cooking times you posted were right on for my pot. I’m so excited that I’ll be able to eat eggs more frequently now that I know this technique. Next time I’ll use butter, though, as I don’t really care for the taste of ghee. I’m looking forward to trying some of your other recipes too!

Followed these instructions and the eggs came out great, I love poached eggs and never have them because I just can’t get them right, either whites are too runny, or yoke is well done. First crack we did 2 minutes, which was too runny. Put back in for 3 minutes and they were perfect. Thank you. Can’t wait for tomorrow morning,

You need to wait for the button to go down! Don’t ever try to remove the lid on a pressure cooker when it still has pressure!

Also been using Pressure cook at 4 minutes. The release makes a difference. Will try the steam setting next time.

It is not necessary, it just gives them a cute shape and they pop out easily.

Yes, it would Shearon. I only place the lid on top to keep the water from dropping down off the lid. 🙂
