We are not talking about the coconut milk that I normally use. This is real cream of coconut {Coco López is the original and most popular brand} that is sweetened and really thick! It can usually be found in the liquor department of your local grocery store or on Amazon.

Where do pina coladas come from?

Did you know that the piña colada has been the national drink of Puerto Rico since 1978? The original creator is still being argued about, but it was definitely created in Puerto Rico back in the 60’s.

I added some tinned pineapple and a bit of frozen banana. It turned into the most delicious smoothie! The drink didn’t taste like banana, it just had the most amazing texture.
