Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls fresh from the oven - You're welcome!! cookingwithcurls.com

I asked if I should make them for fun, and everyone said YES!! So here you go, and you’re welcome. 😉 Even better, you don’t have to stand in line…..around the block…..for hours waiting to get one. You can make them whenever you like, and you never have to worry about them being Sold Out!! Crazy Californian’s {wink-wink}

Do I need a bread machine or stand mixer to make Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls?

I am going to show you how I made them with the help of my bread machine, BUT the printable directions below are written for preparing the dough with a stand mixer. I am going to try to cover all of my bases and make everyone happy…..if that’s even possible, lol.

If you would like to see the step-by-step photos of how to make dough using a stand mixer, check out this post here.

How to make Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls:

Start by placing the liquid ingredients into the bread machine…..

Add the dry ingredients and make a well in the center for the yeast…..

Place into the bread machine and set the machine to the DOUGH setting. When the machine beeps, look through the window to make sure the dough has doubled in size. It should be almost to the top of the machine. If not, allow it to sit for an additional 30 minutes. I just automatically unplug mine when it beeps and let the dough sit for 30 minutes. 🙂

While the dough is proofing, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together in a small bowl and set it aside…..

Remove the dough and place on a well floured surface…..

This is a heavy and velvety dough…..I love this dough recipe!!

Roll dough out to a 15″ x 18″ rectangle. Spread the softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture….

Lay the bacon strips across the center of the dough…..

*Note: I used Applegate’s uncured, sulfite-free bacon and baked it in the oven until it was cooked, but still pliable enough to roll up.*

Pour the maple syrup over the bacon and roll up into an 18-inch log…..

Measure and mark dough in 1 and a 1/2″ increments…..

Slice dough on the marks, and place in a 13″ x 9″ baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray or lined with aluminum foil…..

If you got distracted while rolling up your cinnamon rolls and forgot to add the maple syrup {ahem} now would be a good time to pour it over the top of the rolls. 😉

Cover and allow to rise until doubled in size, about an hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees…..

Place rolls in oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through in the center…..

I could have made a maple-cream cheese frosting to spread on top, but why? They are perfectly delicious just they way they are, and who really needs the extra calories anyway? 😉

  1. Oh. My. Word. They just look absolutely divine. I don’t have a bread machine.. but you’ve got me thinking. I bet I could just pre-cook a bit of bacon and put it in cinnamon rolls from a can– not NEARLY as good as homemade, but I may try to cheat because they look too good not to try!!
