Teriyaki Glazed Ham

Teriyaki Glazed Ham has just enough sweetness to offset the saltiness of the ham, and it is super easy to prepare with homemade or store-bought teriyaki sauce. The entire family will love it!

If you saw my Sugar Free Teriyaki Sauce post the other day, you already know that we had a Teriyaki Glazed Ham for Easter. I, personally still find ham to be extremely salty, but I was impressed with the sweet/salty combination that was created with the teriyaki sauce. Word of warning, there will be a lot of leftover ham recipes coming your way in the near future.

Who would have guessed that there would be over 4.5 pounds left over? Oh wait, everyone but me? lol

How to make Teriyaki Glazed Ham

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Pour enough pineapple juice into a 10 x 12 or 13 x 9 baking dish to almost cover the bottom, about a 1/4 cup. Place the ham cut side down in the baking dish.

Tent ham loosely with foil and place in the oven. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes {15 minutes per pound}, until thermometer reaches 140 degrees.

Remove ham from oven and turn oven to BROIL. Baste with Teriyaki Glaze, including inside the spiral cuts, and return to the oven for 2 to 3 minutes to caramelize.

Remove ham from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional Teriyaki Glaze on the side.

To be honest I still prefer ribs, but this was actually a nice change.

  • 6 pound ham mine was a spiral cut, sugar-free ham
  • 0.5 cup teriyaki sauce plus more for serving – recipe links in the Notes section
  • .25 cup pineapple juice substitute water or chicken stock if prefered
